Weekly Economic Review and Outlook: Warming Prices Mean Higher Rates
The Consumer Price Index (CPI) fell by 0.1 percent in March, driven by a nearly 5 percent decline in gasoline prices. Even with this small drop in the overall index, the trend 12-month gain increased to 2.4 percent as the CPI fell even faster a year ago. This is the fastest 12-month gain in more than a year.
